Ok, so in a somewhat negative mindset. Have you ever heard the expressions of any change is good? Well, you know what? I think that is crap. When I went to buy my lunch today I decided to get pasta. It tasted worse. It was made buy a different cook, and the person who served me put less on my plate. That business, by making a bad change, has just lost a customer.
But is this change really bad?
I suppose this is the any-one-but-a-pessimists way of looking at things. The change that that business made is now pushing me to try different options and to explore my cullinary delights elsewhere. It could lead to bigger and better things in the world, and so this ‘change’ may actually be a super positive rather than a negative.
I think that this experience of mine is transferable to many aspects of our lives. From moving houses/towns/cities to changing jobs and friends, the experience that comes along with it is always going to outway the negatives, so long as your mindset views it that way.
Let’s say I move house to a completely different city where I know no one (which I have done before!). If I sit in my house and don’t socialise, only leave to shop and work, then of course my experience is going to be negative. But if I break free of that mentality and go get off my ass and socialise, leave the house; then I’m going to live a better life. You don’t have to put yourself out there and meet random people are cafes, bars and clubs, sometimes it’s as simple as going to the local library to see what community events are on lately- or living in this wonderous age that we do, jumping on a local chat site and seeing if there’s anyone with similar interests to yourself.
Remember the mantra: Bad Change is Good.
