Death before Birth
Posted on May 6th, 2009 2 commentsIn this world, things are born from an idea, and soon that idea comes to fruition. Eventually, after the benefits have been harvest, each thing in life slowly retires.
Unfortunately for me, this is what happened to my website today. I did something wrong, and lost everything. Thousands of words, hundreds of posts, dozens of memories. What I did was stupid, but I’ll learn from that mistake (in fact, I already have!). What I would like to do though, is look forward to the positives.
They say that for everything that dies, there is something to replace it. For those who smiled at the idea of my website going down, don’t worry- I’m not going anywhere. I’ll still be here to annoy you for sometime to come. In fact, I jumped at the chance this afternoon to throw together the new site which is up.
When I post this article, it will be the only one on the site for a little bit. I suppose that is the sadded part of losing my blog; the fact that 6 months worth of work and articles is literally erased of the face of this planet.
If you want to read some of the articles, I suppose you could go to google.com, search brodhe.com and brodhe.com/blog and then click on ‘cached’. They’ll still be there till the google bots come and chew over this new one.
I’ve decided to throw together a few other new ideas for this site also. The first is that it is not going to be a place of hate. The last one wasn’t either, though a few comments that were thrown at me weren’t so nice. To combat this, I’ve decided that after this post, you will not be able to read posts in full, or comment on posts without signing up and logging in. This ensures my safety from complete randoms off the internet.
For those who had signed up to my last website (inculding RSS and email) you will have to do so again. Sorry to those few dozen people.
My biggest apology goes to people who had spent their time leaving comments on my stories. We all know that I love the comments to bits; but they are also gone. So, sorry.
I’ll be writing posts as they come to my mind, so watch out for the links as they come your way.
What I really do encourage is to subscribe to this website! How? Click here.
Also, to the right in the sidebar I’ve put my latest youtube videos, so feel free to check them out whenever also.
Take care guys,
